MINISTER OF ENERGY SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
WITH GOVERNMENT OF TUNISIA

The Minister of Energy, Amb. Henry O Macauley on the 11th of April 2016 met with his counterpart in Tunisia, Mr.
Mongi Marzoug and signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries. Amb. Macauley
accompanied by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy, Mrs. Zainab Buya-Kamara and the Chief of Staff
of State House, Mr. Saidu Conton Sesay embarked on the groundbreaking venture which also saw them taken on a
conducted tour of one of the country’s state of the art Electricity Power Houses.
The MOU signed would aim to improve and develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of
Electricity, Oil and gas and Capacity Building and Training.
The visit also saw Amb. Macauley and his team witness a presentation by The Tunisian Company of Electricity & Gas -
International Services, which is a Tunisian energy services company, who are currently undertaking the Procurement,
Installation and commissioning of the Reinforcement and Extension of the Medium and Low Voltage Network and the supply
of Prepayment Meters and Vending Stations in the Western Area Project in Sierra Leone.
